I absolutely love this radio!!! Yes it is old school but it just works. Great mobile great as a base station too. Sound is good. In the car I used a Yaesu external speaker fantastic. If you are new and looking to upgrade from a Baofeng or other inexpensive radio you can’t beat the value in this radio. It doesn’t have a color screen but it has performance and I really don’t think you can go wrong. Plus the 1.25 meter (220) has more power than most if not all other tri-band radios out there. My reports are excellent.
