While others have reviewed the FT-4X as little more than a rebranded Baofeng, IMHO it's a much better performer than the chinese branded imports. A higher quality speaker results in much improved received audio and the receiver is noticeably more quiet with less background hiss and noise. Better programming menu than the import branded radios and FPP is a breeze. I find the sensitivity to be very good for a radio in this price class. I use this radio to monitor public service channels and the ability to program NFM channel steps is a huge advantage over other amatuer ht's which cannot.
