This is not only a magnet mount, but also a suction mount. I pulled it out of the box, and tossed it onto the counter for the day, The next morning, I went to take it out of my truck, and nearly pulled my shoulder out of socket. I was floored that my counter had metal in it, until I realized that it was JUST the suction cup force! It has been on mt truck for months, in all kinds of hateful weather. Not a budge, or hint of budge. I also do not hear any wind noise off of such a low profile mount. I love it and recommend it if people ask.
