I am a recently retired broadcast transmitter engineer WA6SVT. I can recommend the Tiny SA Ultra. I have used it in the field in California and on Pitcairn island (VP6MC). The analyzer-signal generator works well with narrow and wideband signals. The input level is auto ranging and to use the SA in Ultra mode you need to go to the configure menu to access that mode, the code to turn it on when asked by the SA is 4321. I have used the SA to check marine radios and a low power TV station on Pitcairn and ATV repeater and ham gear in California. If I were to add a want accessory, that would be a leatherette soft case. I do have full size Agilent SA in California, I did not want to take it to Pitcairn Island. The Ultra SA has been the best priced, best performance portable SA you can purchase. R&L was able to quickly ship the Ultra SA to me before my trip to Pitcairn a week after the Dayton Hamvention, I am grateful for their customer service! Will I purchase another Tiny SA Ultra? Yes I do plan to do that so I will have a spare unit.
